Accommodation for students attending BioGrad Education summer schools is provided on campus at The University of Chester. The student accommodation provides a safe and secure environment for the duration of your programme, with whole buildings reserved exclusively for our summer school students.
Each student will receive their own private, single occupancy bedroom in either a flat or house, shared exclusively with fellow BioGrad Education summer school students. Facilities such as living space, kitchens and bathrooms are shared with a small number of fellow students.
Upon arrival, you will attend a student welcome and induction, then you will be shown to your accommodation and given some time to settle in.
All students are supported for the duration of your course by our dedicated Safeguarding and Student Services teams.
Almost everything you will need for the duration of your stay is included in the accommodation, such as bedding, crockery, pots and pans and cutlery. You will need to bring your own food, towels, toiletries and necessary personal items.. Don’t worry about forgetting the essentials, we will send you a packing list ahead of your course commencement. In case you need it, there is a well-stocked and reasonably priced campus shop available for you to purchase food and essentials too!
Throughout your stay you will have access to all on campus facilities, such as the newly refurbished cafeteria, modern fitness suites, swimming pool, outdoor cinema and communal areas for socialising.
Only students attending summer school courses are able to book accommodation through BioGrad Education, all other students must book accommodation directly with alternative providers. Once you have booked your course and requested accommodation at the time of booking, you will receive a confirmation email including information on how to pay for your accommodation.
Student accommodation is charged at a rate of £250 for a 5-night stay (with arrival on the Sunday prior to your course commencing, and check out on the Friday your course finishes.)
Please note, accommodation is not included in the course fee and is an additional charge.
